PreTreat Mild Acidic Tile Cleaner For Ceramic, Concrete, Stone & Other Surfaces

PreTreat is an acidic solution specifically developed to microscopically etch the surface of ceramic and porcelain tile, concrete and other hard mineral surfaces.

1 Gallon of PreTreat will cover approximately 800 sq. ft. per gal depending upon the porosity of the surface.

Installation Guidelines

PreTreat contains a blend of mild acids. Use rubber gloves and safety goggles. When using a pressure sprayer for application, avoid breathing the mist or getting the spray on yourself.

Application

PreTreat is Ready to Use. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove all dirt, grease and debris. Always test product in an inconspicuous area before applying. Apply using an applicator, mop or low pressure sprayer. Caution use a spray devise that will not create heavy misting or over spray.

The floor should be kept wet with the treatment, usually for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinsed away with clean, cold water. Scrubbing with a stiff wire brush may be necessary to remove heavy deposits of efflorescence or cement scale. Rinse thoroughly to remove residue squeegee off all excess of water. If no drains are available, use a wet-vac to remove PreTreat, then mop with fresh water.

Allow the floor to dry before applying any subsequent floors sealer.

How to repair or recoat GlazeGuard?
GlazeGuard is a tough clear sealer and very hard wearing. It tends to keep its shine for a long time but it can still be scratched. Especially if you drag sharp objects, like heavy kitchen appliances or point loads like table legs or chair legs.

To spot repair or recoat entire area it is not necessary to strip the sealer, you just need to sand or scrub the surface clean so it can be top coated. Sand with 120 grit sand paper or scrub with black pad and GlossGlean neutral cleaner. Clean off the dust or residue and apply a top coat. Cleaning GlazeGuard?
GlazeGuard when fully cured has a hard surface so dirt does not easily stick to it. You don’t need to use aggressive cleaners. An part of maintaining your floor is to use dust mop or “swiffer” type microfiber mop to keep sand and dirt off the floor. After that to wash the floor you can use neutral clean or mild liquid detergents, light vinegar solutions, or light ammonia solutions.

Stay away from solvents like Paint strippers, Acetone and Xylene. If you do have use concentrated cleaners/degreasers. Clean up residue right away.
